Surrounded by the majestic peaks of the San Juan Mountains, Pagosa Springs is a small, friendly community with a mild climate. It has all the advantages of living in the Rocky Mountains with excellent skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, rafting, camping, hunting and fishing only minutes away from the town center. But it’s not far if you want to visit nearby urban areas: Durango is an hour, Santa Fe is about 3 hours, Albuquerque is almost 4 hours and Denver is around 5 hours away. A native of Colorado, I moved to Pagosa Springs in 1985. As a past kindergarten teacher with two children I have been involved and am impressed with the school district in P.S., Durango and Bayfield. Education is a community commitment and it shows in the dedication of the teachers and community support for all of its students. I reside in both PS and Durango Co., and having sold real estate in Northern New Mexico for 5 years, am licensed in New Mexico as well. I began selling real estate in 1980 because I know others would love this area as much as I do. My full time dedication to the profession has earned me many long-term customers who have purchased subdivision lots and homes as well as large acreage and ranches. I was among the first in the area to complete my Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation. I was also the first Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) in Pagosa Springs which is based on experience and continuing education requirements. While I was with Coldwell Banker, I ranked in the top 1% nationally in sales and listings and in 1996 I was honored as one of the top 50 agents in the state of Colorado. In 2007. I received the Leading Edge Society Award for Prudential, placing me in the top 10% nationally, and I received the Fine Homes Specialist Designation. I was also the branch broker of the year for Prudential Triple S Realty. I also served as the Pagosa Springs Area Association of REALTORS® President for two years and was awarded the Archuleta County Realtor of the Year two years in a row. I have served in the Colorado Association of REALTORS® since 1993 and continue to represent the southwest on a state level. My commitment to my career and experience in both the state and local associations has given me a depth of knowledge that I bring to every client or customer. I pride myself on being knowledgeable about the Four Corners area and on my integrity and honesty.
